Hi Roland:

Have you noticed that all of the gold mining companies that own properties in Indonesia have fallen prices: Indomin-57%, International Pursuit-37%, Yamana-34%, Corriente-32% to mention a few.

Nem/Ngc own 80% of Batu Hijan and 80% of Minahasa both of which are in Indonesia. If you think these key stocks are Busts or Bargains tell us about it and why!

Until the Bre-X results are announced by Strathcona, a gold mining consulting firm appointed by Bre-X, there shall be lingering anxiety regarding the future of gold mining prospects in Indonesia. However, usually companies as powerful as Newmont Mining survive governmental and commercial upheaval.

Another uncertainty is the result of the proposed merger re: Santa Fe and Newmont...Before it is a fait accompli, it must be approved by the stockholders in May. The purchase was at a higher price than that of Homestake's offer....but Newmont's price capped the deal....which gives the company a tremendous long-term benefit, in terms of cost-effectiveness in combining their properties' development, equipment, manpower; the opportunies for expansion, growth, increased
assets and net income overall.
