Dave:
Can you review the discussions about Intel paying royalties. Here is copy of email to me from Ramus IR regarding these payments dated 12/2/99. Blackbird on Yahoo adds some confusion to my understanding by stating that Intel is paying royalites

"We have never revealed royalty payments by licensee, since these are subject to confidentiality agreements between Rambus and our licensees. We have said, however, that although Intel pays Rambus royalties the level of these royalties is relatively insignificant.

Stockholder Relations
Rambus Inc.""

What does "relatively insignificant" mean. It could mean 50 cents or several million dollars and Tate's statement that "Intel is paying royalties" is a true statement.
Also, in last two conference calls Tate said "royalties with exceed contract revenues by end of Rambus's fiscal year. Any indication by how much at shareholder's meeting.

I think whatever Tate and Harmon said could be viewed with rose colored glasses very easily.
