You are all so right.....excerpts from a recent article in Web Techniques magazine that highlight the potential of XML for "Vortals": XML is the lingua franca of vortal development. Actually, it may be an overstatement to call XML a language, because it's really a syntax standard that supports the definition of languages. As standards for XML-based languages that address vertical and functional markets evolve, XML is becoming the basis for describing the format for product catalogs, as well as for general information delivery.
