HDR needs to find a home in data only networks such that the now bankrupt C block spectrum owning companies have tied up in court.Otherwise it might be difficult to get carrier's to accept the technology as they are still voice centric.They are afraid to allow a dedicated channel for the HDR transmission as they worry about available voice capacity not being enough on the remaining three channels.Nextwave would be the unique National wireless carrier that could give QUALCOMM's HDR a huge boost if it were allowed to proceed with its plan for reorganization.The prospects of that appear dim as the FCC wishes to reauction Nextwaves licenses.Perhaps another carrier will step in and buy up enough of the spectrum in the re auctions and push the commercialization of HDR
