Amazon Gets the Gold
By James J. Cramer

Click here for the latest from James J. Cramer.Amazon (AMZN:Nasdaq - news) wins again. It got the money. That's what it is all about.
It raised the funds. All of the bears' horses and all of the bears' men couldn't stop this deal from happening.
Join the discussion on TSC Message Boards. No shame, as usual, from the Amazon boys. They jig the stock up with the release, then they jag it down with the convertible bond at a stiff rate, but certainly much lower than any bank would give them, if one would at all -- even an online bank. They managed to beat back the bears with oodles of cash. And the bears will have to cover their shorts again.
Amazon may be the luckiest company in the history of the Western world. At this pace, what it might be able to do is put everybody out of business through the help of this incredibly bountiful tape, and then be able to raise prices and live happily ever after.
It is like the 1980 U.S. Olympic Hockey Team. It shouldn't even be in the stadium.
Instead it just got the gold.
