So the only question is do we know how much the big 3 pay for each share? My guess is that they could pay between $10~$16. I have experienced paying $8 for a startup company at its last series ~$15mil private equity funding (around 6 months before IPO) and got $12 initial offering price. Usually the earlier funding for a startup cost much less because they bear more risk.

PALM is a spin-off so I think the big 3 may pay the IPO price. IMHO, 80% or 93% won't affect the PALM's trading price and it will still blast off.
