Happy, I hope your Aunt's doctor has a good attorney. In California it is illegal to prescribe a medication for a patient that has never been seen by the physician. It is dangerous, since some patients may be taking other prescriptions that may interact with the drug prescribed, or the patient may be allergic to the medicine. A physician doing this is California could lose his medical license....besides being held legally liable for any complications that the patient might experience.
