there is no question in my mind,that a standardized operating system will be required to really make it all viable,much in the way Windows has done for PC's.I would think that we will see interchangeable peripherals,,to do this, there has to be a standard..PALM already has in place alliances which IMO assure them a spot in the PDA OS market/wireless market"It also began licensing its Palm OS to cell-phone manufacturers Qualcomm, Motorola, and Nokia as well as Handspring, a handheld-device manufacturer."
