Fri 11 Feb 2000 News Release
Mr. Colin McCavana reports
The company has commissioned a program of work on its mineral
reconnaissance areas in Liberia.
The company holds a mineral reconnaissance licence for gold, diamonds and
base metals over 3,500 square kilometres in three properties in the central
west and northwest of Liberia.
The program of work will be undertaken by Crowe Schaffalitzky Associates
(CSA) of Dublin, Ireland. CSA are internationally reputable geological
consultants with wide experience in Africa and many other parts of the
world.
CSA will carry out a reconnaissance program that will identify specific
target areas for later detailed exploration.
The program commenced on Feb. 6, with a literature and data review and
selection of target areas to be the focus of a field study. The field study
will investigate the selected target areas and develop opinions as to their
prospectivity. The field work is expected to be completed by early April,
2000. CSA will then compile a report on the program, complete with
discussion on location of targets, infrastructure and recommendations for
the continuing exploration strategy. The report is expected by May 30,
2000.
Haddington International Resources will use this program to determine the
most favourable exploration targets. Property holdings will then be
consolidated around these targets and an aggressive program of exploration
will be applied to locate primary drill targets for 2001.
