RM, why to manipulate markets wen oil is adequately priced now?? Two responses: (1) no one knows if the price is adequate now or not, in terms of free market supply and demand, precisely because it has been manipulated by the oil carterl, cutting production to artificially increase prices and (2) if price is driven above $30 or so, it becomes a strategic threat to our economy, which is the reason the SPR was created. I doubt if any SPR sales will take place below 30, but I doubt if the government will let it go much above 30.
