Jeff, tell me, who WILL be blamed in the end? i think that the post mortems on the bubble will reveal that the Fed's profligacy with the printing presses was the root cause.
the otc derivatives have of course increased system-wide risk immeasurably. i'm certainly not against derivatives, but their wild growth has introduced a whole new level of systemic pitfalls.
