steve, I think we're on the same wavelength. When I was in high school I had a teacher that was very open about his belief in Jesus. I was not a christian at that time. Just to rile him up, I wrote behind the map on the chalkboard "God is dead." I knew it wasn't true when I wrote it. I was just trying to get a rise out of him. When he raised the map it didn't provoke him at all. I saw him a couple of years ago when I was visiting a church in a city close by. I didn't recognize him, but he spotted me. He was very surpised to see me there. Bottom line, God is God. God can save anybody He wants to. We just need to fulfill the role He's called us to fulfill.
