Stew:
Every now and then, in the past, whenever things became silent on the MMU thread, I used to toss some chum (bait) in the tank - to get the waters moiling for several days.
And, unless this post serves that purpose, I have given up on that tactic.
I will say, though, that it was the personality of the MMU thread that encouraged me to put all my eggs in its basket.
That personality had Boulay cast as Indiana Jones; and had Jesse as the Town Crier, keeping us all aware of the events that be.
Now, it (the MMU thread) seems to have become the retarded kid sitting in the corner with its thumb stuck in its throat.
There have been traceable (though I will not bother to detail) gaps in promises of information. Quite a few "next few days," "within a week," and "by the end of the week, or next week" have come through - never to be followed up with the information. I believe we are still waiting word about September or October sampling, and January drilling.
It is disgusting to think that someone, anyone, at MMU could drop a line or so that mentions the ongoing nature of exploration, sampling, drilling, or joint venture negotiations. They can. But they don't. That's awful - especially since that represents a change in method of operation and communication.
Boulay, in his most recent post, referred to the average number of weeks between NRs. That was truly a statistical cop-out.
I most deeply, and most seriously, regret the fact that I had become intrigued by the previous character of MMU. Intrigued enough to trust it with all of my petty investment funds.
Ah, yes, I almost forget the bywords delivered by the company last fall: They will announce all new information on receipt - even if this made for a tad of internal disorder.
I must allow that MMU, which had been so open and trustworthy, has now become something whose words one must examine before taking them as factual.
There, I've vented,
