SeattleTimes ran an article which said that
Immunex was contributing to the University
of Washington's "Cell Systems Initiative".
(two million plus a few research scientists
will go to the center, quite a bargain...)

The article called it a "groundbreaking
genetics research project" and said that
two other companies were interested in
joining, with three other companies backing the
project financially. Leroy Hood is starting a
"Systems Biology Institute", maybe they were
talking about that, but Hood as left the UW.

I emailed the fellow who wrote the article
and pointed him to my Seatte Biotech thread
Subject 33251
no feedback yet, but he has two different
email addresses. I'll try the second in a
day or two if I don't hear back, and inquire
whether this is mixed up and there is only
one genomics project.

Corixa might be interested too, just guessing
of course. Tgen, don't know--I've emailed them
as well, just this morning.

See the thread for the url to the articles, should
be there, or seattletimes.com
