tax: Hard to believe in that MSFT said:
1. Built W2K according to Euro anti-trust specs
2. W2K going to ship in Europe on Feb. 17.

Perhaps someone doesn't understand that this product is a replacement for NT4 not W98.

Does someone have information to the contrary?
This drop is amazing with no hard news.

Evidently this was all precipitated by Gartner group study:
yahoo.cnet.com

Actually in this article they quote a MSFT rep. as saying that the individual could upgrade to this product with greater ease than they were able to migrate to NT4. Eric on this board mentioned that to me not too long ago in a post here.

This post at Yahoo echos my seentiments re the Gartner report:
messages.yahoo.com

As usual CNBC blew this whole thing out of proportion.

Ballmers comments at G/S conference very upbeat without being specific.

This whole event is FUD
