No exaggeration. I watched a show on BBC TV (really good) that went through all the parameters. Geneticists have figured out that the human race was reduced to about 15,000 in number about 70,000 years ago, coinciding with a known super-volcano erruption in Krakatoa. The yellowstone volcano will be a thousand times more powerfull than Mt. St. Helens and the ash will blanket the whole continent.
