J.D. Edwards to Resell IBM WebSphere Commerce Suite; Business Alliance Key Element of J.D. Edwards' Global E-Business and Customer Relationship Management Offering

DENVER, Colo. and SICILY, ITALY, Feb. 7, 2000 ? J.D. Edwards & Company (NASDAQ: JDEC), a leading provider of e-business software solutions that deliver speed and agility, and IBM announced today that they have entered into a global sales and product alliance in which they will collaborate to deliver an integrated storefront that extends and enhances J.D. Edwards ActivEra Solution for customer relationship management, Active CRM. Under the agreement, J.D. Edwards will resell IBM's flexible and scalable electronic storefront technology, IBM WebSphere Commerce Suite (WCS)*. Integrated with J.D. Edwards OneWorld?, IBM WCS provides companies with a robust electronic storefront solution coupled with an agile enterprise software system that allows them to establish online stores and increase revenues while still maintaining strong customer relationships.

Whether a customer is a traditional brick-and-mortar or pure-play Internet company, the J.D. Edwards e-business offering with IBM WCS provides organizations with an easier way to do business on the Internet.
