HDR needs to find a home in data only networks such that the now bankrupt C block spectrum owning companies have tied up in court.Otherwise it might be difficult to get carrier's to accept the technology as they are still voice centric. Considering that the FCC is trying its damndest to keep NWave from getting its spectrum, are you kind of pessimistic on the real-world outlook for HDR in the near term (thru 2001)? Given that carriers can implement HDR selectively on narrow 1.25MHz channels, I thought that was supposed to be a big point in winning them over to implement data even as they are addicted to voice revs.
