I gave Jim Graham the PR rep at JDX/ITE a call in Long Island this afternoon to weasel around to see if I could put a handle on the reason for the activity of the last couple of days and he said there was no specific reason in his mind however in the normal course of their business they were occassionally talking to Bay street firms and letting them know of the name change, the securing of their listing on the TSE and the general path the company was taking. I gathered that the action we are seeing now on the floor is a result of increasing interest, awareness and credibility of the company. In the rambling conversation I was encouraged that there were no U-turns in our direction envisioned and that the world was unfolding as per plan. All in all I was satisfied that I need not grab my profits and head for the exits. When he made reference to the business plan evolving in the years ahead I had to smile to myself because it reminded me of the fact that there are actually investors out there that think beyond months. It was a good conversation and left me feeling that my money will do well.
In past conversations with Jim I have always been impressed that they are not hypey but could be described as serious managers building a serious company. He mentioned that it would be great if the investors could get to meet the "team" sometime and I said I hoped they could do the March meeting in Toronto. He acknowledged that it was a possibility.
