Electric Mail Chosen by Rogers AT&T Wireless to
Provide Wireless Interactive Paging Email Services
Vancouver, British Columbia - February 10, 2000. The Electric
Mail Company Inc. (the "Company") (CDNX:ELE) today announces
it has signed an agreement with Rogers Communications
Inc./Rogers AT&T Wireless Inc. ("Rogers AT&T")
(NYSE:RCN, TSE:RCN.B) to provide web-based email services to
Rogers AT&T wireless interactive messaging subscribers.
Rogers(tm) AT&T(r) Wireless is Canada's largest wireless
provider, serving over 2.6 million customers from coast to
coast. Rogers AT&T Wireless provides a complete range of
wireless solutions including cellular, paging, and Interactive
Messaging, Digital PCS, and wireless data services.
The use of wireless networks for email communication and
management is part of a trend that will see email accounting
for over 75% of network transactions by 2002, predicts
Messaging Magazine (January/February, 2000).
States Company President & CEO Iain Black, "The solution
integrates our robust Webmail offerings with leading edge
interactive paging technology, and represents a truly
meaningful step towards fulfilling the wireless Internet
