Dr. Vehrs graduated in geology from the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh in 1968 and completed
his doctorate degree in geology at Syracuse University in 1975. He has over 20 years of mineral
exploration experience in the U.S.A., South America and Mexico. In 1980, Dr. Vehrs was
appointed Exploration Manager for Anaconda in Chile, directing the successful exploration
program at the world class Los Pelambres porphyry copper deposit as well as the initial exploration
leading to the identification and discovery of the San Cristobal disseminated gold deposit. More
recently, as the South American Exploration Manager for Cyprus Amax Minerals Company, he led
acquisition and exploration efforts resulting in the discovery of a major porphyry copper deposit in
Peru and also participated in the evaluation and successful acquisitions of the Cerro Verde and El
Abra porphyry copper deposits in Peru and Chile. Dr. Vehrs has also been involved in major gold
discoveries in northern Mexico and in central Nevada. Dr. Vehrs? successful history of mine
finding is a tremendous asset for Aquest.

James C. O?Rourke, P.Eng.
Chairman

Mr. O?Rourke graduated from the University of British Columbia in 1964 with a B.A. Sc. in
Mining Engineering and has over 30 years of experience in mine operations and project
development. His past senior positions include Chairman of Princeton Mining Corporation,
President and Chief Executive Officer of Princeton Mining Corporation, President and Chief
Executive Officer of Cassiar Mining Corporation. Mr. O?Rourke has served as a director of the
Mining Association of Canada, Vancouver Board of Trade, and the British Columbia Mining
Association. In recent years Mr. O?Rourke has served as a director of numerous public
companies.

Paul Saxton, B.Sc. Eng., MBA
Director

Mr. Saxton graduated from Queen?s University with a B.Sc. Engineering in 1969 and obtained his
MBA from the University of Western Ontario in 1974. He has over 25 years experience in
development and property acquisition in the international mining industry. Mr. Saxton is President
& Chief Executive Officer of Standard Mining Corporation. His past senior positions include
President and Chief Operating Officer of Viceroy Resources Corporation, Executive Vice
President & Manager of Operations of Eastmaque Gold Mines, Ltd. In recent years Mr. Saxton
has served as a director of a number of public companies.

Bill Robertson, P.Eng.

Mr. Robertson graduated from the University of Alberta with a B.Sc. Engineering in 1961. He has
been active in the international mining industry for over 30 years where his principal role has been
in project development and smelter operations. Mr. Robertson worked 32 years for Cominco Ltd in
various senior positions leading to his final position of Senior Vice President & Chief Operating
Officer to which he retired from at the end of 1997. He is presently Executive Vice President &
Chief Operating Officer of Agrium Inc.

Lawrence D. Barr

Mr. Barr is Chief Financial Officer, Secretary & Director of Abacus Minerals Corporation. He
has over 27 years experience in the mining industry. In recent years Mr. Barr has served as a
director of numerous public companies.

Bob Young, P.Eng. Geo
Director

Mr. Young graduated in 1962 with a B.A.Sc. degree in Geological Engineering from the University
of British Columbia. Mr. Young gained valuable mine development and operating experience at the
Craigmont and Gilbraltar mines, plus varied exploration and management experience in a number
of senior positions in North and South America while employed by Placer Dome. During that time
Mr. Young was instrumental in the acquisition of the Las Cristinas Gold property in Venezuela.
After leaving Placer Dome in mid 1992 Mr. Young joined Teck Corporation as exploration
manager in South America and recently has been Vice President Special Projects based out of
Vancouver.

Jamieson Merritt, B. Comm, LLB
Director

Mr. Merritt graduated from the University of British Columbia with a B. Comm and a LLB degree
in 1990 and was called to the Bar of the Province of BC in 1991. After practicing law with a major
law firm Mr. Merritt assumed the legal and financial responsibilities with a software development
firm. Mr. Merritt owns and operates a construction company.

Len W. Brownlie, Ph.D.

Mr Brownlie is President of Brownlie Management Ltd. Brownlie Management Ltd. provides
administrative services to a number of publicly traded companies. In recent years Mr. Brownlie
has served as a director of numerous public companies.

Rodney A. Shier, CA
VP Finance & Chief Financial Officer

Mr. Shier graduated from the University of British Columbia in 1986 with a B. Comm. and then
went on to obtain his Chartered Accountants Degree. Mr. Shier has over 10 years experience in
corporate finance and accounting in the mining industry. Prior to joining Aquest, Mr. Shier was VP
Finance & CFO for Rea Gold Corporation. Mr. Shier also worked in the general practice
department of a major accounting firm and gained international experience while stationed in
Australia for two years.
