To be honest, I'm also wondering about the huge price difference between Athlon and Pentium III. I feel Pentium III is just as good as Athlon (a few percentage points is no big deal). However, the low, low price of Athlons makes me wonder why there isn't a shortage of them. Ever wonder why Jerry Sanders said nothing about "higher-than-expected" demand for Athlon? Tench, you may want to stop bringing this up...in the not to distant future, wondering about why there is a not a shortage of Athlons may be the least of your worries. ted
