they are homers but i wonder how they behaved during the real significant drops, i.e. in the summer of 98. i was (gasp) *working* then and i recall some doofus watching something on the company tv about monica l and saying, oh, well, if i had any stocks i'd SELL. i think that day was within a week of the bottom then. i guess they help fuel the bull/mania but i also sense they probably harm the market when its in a bearish phase. they can shout pretty loudly that things are going down too. and when the parade of guests keep coming on that say to hold on when the mkt goes down every day probably gets pretty annoying to those who bought at the top. who'd listen to these bulls when the market goes down day after day. the viewers might think " these clowns are so wrong. i'll show them, i'll sell !"

ah, who cares, as long as we get to see you know who cry after a thousand point down day. ho ho
