For me, lack of patience in 1999 have been very expensive.. If I had left my portfolio alone as it was at the start of 1999, today it would be worth approx. 50% more and more importantly I would not be looking at tax bite in April.. And that is from some one who usually is patient to a fault...

But whatever works. You have to go with what is comfortable. My comment was in jest since you are, like me, beating yourself up, after the fact.. As we all do...
