Are you telling me there is still a shortage of Slot A motherboards?> I can't speak for Mani, but I think AMD would have cleaned up against Intel by now if it could use the P6 bus. The rate of the Athlon ramp is, I believe, contrained by demand from the formerly "Intel-only" high end users. I doubt business demand for non-Intel processors can increase by more than 25% quarter to quarter, and I don't think there's much demand from individuals for $600 - $900 CPU's. So AMD will have to live with $200-$220 ASP average for the Athlon in Q1. Petz
