On the recent sale of WinStar's entire 12 percent stake in competitor Advanced Radio Telecom Corp.:

``We originally bought that stake believing that Advanced Radio would want to engage with us in a strategic relationship . . . . we're not investors. That's not really what we do. We operate. We had made that investment to be involved with them on an operating level, (and) with it being clear that we weren't going to be, we decided to liquidate our investment.'
