And is that ever the truth IMO, Joe....I did the same thing..."gambled" on a couple of the penny "stocks"...using that term quite loosely!...

One sat, and sat, then went down, delisted, and finally has refiled, and is going back up...funny thing, it was one of the few greens today....

and the other one was a real gamble... diminishing returns...I should certainly have done the same thing I did with the thing below....and didn't....luckily, I don't have a huge amount in it, that I can afford to see what happens, and if nothing, consider it a BIG lesson!

But there is one entirely different stock...has a board here on SI, and I'm sure on other boards...don't have it and wouldn't touch it with a 40 foot pole....

Started doing research on it, because in the 1980's we were one of thousands of people who invested in a limited Real Estate partnership, which to this day, now believe was a total shell game involving literally millions of dollars.

After the advent of Internet, one now can see that there were several companies with look highly suspect. Most of these companies are owned and headed by the same person...I did SEC sleuthing, Metacrawler is a HUGE help too!!!...looked at all the insiders on these, several names kept coming up on most of them....the trail leads from Vancouver, to the US in several places, to Channel Islands, Hong Kong, Korea, and ultimately Switzerland.

From what I can tell, day traders are playing with it...and obviously haven't done any research on the head of the company, or any of the officers....

So now, that old story, buyer beware, has more oomph than it ever did....it is now becoming by far easier to do research on some of these ventures!

Metacrawler is a MUCH more powerful tool than most of us realize.

How are you all at the end of this week? Hope not as tired as I feel tonight!
This is peaceful to think about....
