I think this experience demonstrates clearly why it is a bad idea to have schools teach the Bible. There is no evidence anywhere else that the Reed Sea incident actually occurred. If it did, it was not written down for 700 years or more, and not by Moses (of course). If you choose to believe the legends of the Old Testament, that is your right. But having school (and grades) involved in all of this is very dangerous. I recommend that if you want to keep your daughter's doctrine satisfactory to you, you find a good Christian school whose beliefs accord with yours and send her there.
