Thank you ZO for that post. I read it several times and am still not sure that I understand all of it, especially some of the acronyms. However, it gives a well developed perspective on transport, switching and end-premises equipment technologies which balances the dialogue on TCP/IP. The conclusion one is lead to, of course, is that ATM will be the primary underlying carrier of the future which would be good for NNC. It is harder to forecast whether NNC the company is positioned to take advantage of this or will other companies run right over them. Also, when will this (re)newed ATM boom materialize?
