Bearshark,

Sure as heck is a bear thread :)

We'll know we are in a bear market when the techs finally crack...just don't think it's going to happen. Would take the mother of all shoes to drop.

More likely, I think the QQQ will soon decline back to its 50 DMA (which it has done twice recently) and drag some of the tech heavyweights down with it. CSCO, ORCL, AMAT, etc. are just barely off their highs...once they correct 15-20% or so and the QQQ hits 50 DMA (10% correction), the techs will bounce around a bit. Probably be a quick rotation into value stocks bringing the dow back up, but then the money will flow right back into where it left.

And then we repeat...except some of the previous highflyers (JDSU, QCOM) may start gaining some strength after their long rest.

In order for this cycle to be broken, I think we need a meteriote to hit the planet. Otherwise, I am staying in tech to ensure I don't miss out on the revolution.

THanks.

KY
