thank you for all your knowledgeable and succinct guidance beginning about 1 year ago with respect to the Athlon, Dirk Meyer and his research team, while the Athlon was in its formative stages...A review of your posts clearly demonstrates that you were DEAD RIGHT in your evaluation of the Athlon potential prior to its production!!!

Thanks. I've seen just about everything which can be done wrong in microprocessor architecture/design. I realized about a year ago that Dirk was using the collective experience of the industry to avoid the major pitfalls of earlier x86 designs.

I hope that K8 is being put together as carefully as K7 was.
