TTOSBT,

<It's amazing to me how many shareholders see what the board of INPR seems to be blind to -Corel's weakness as a partner>

Yes, it does seem strange. But, if the stock prices of both companies continue to fall they may get the idea. This deal could fall apart, but I'm afraid the damage has already been done. I wonder how the technical staff is reacting. Maybe I should put in a sell order before all the resume's hit the streets?

As I said earlier, I sold 2/3rd of my stake in both companies before the announcement. When I first heard about the merger, I thought, "Whoops, I moved too soon". Now, I'm starting to question the wisdom of holding the 1/3rd of each company that I kept.

Mr. Cowpland must be a very persuasive fellow, up close and personal, however inane he seems from a distance. I've been blasted (on another board) for suggesting that Corel has management problems, but I'd feel better if our representatives at Inprise hadn't put our head into THAT lion's mouth.

Incidentally, and this may categorize me as among the terminally stupid, I'd be very much in favor of this merger if I felt the management had the intellect, drive, and ability to make it work.

Fred
