the story starts to unfold...
We are a medical group, providing health care services. PA HealthCare (via Ray G.) was hired in late '98, early '99 to 1)do billing for our fee-for-service payors (i.e. healthplans, Medicare, etc.) and 2)to do electronic "encounter" tracking and reporting for our "capitation" payers. PA did a lousy job on both counts. As a result, (1) with regard to the fee-for-service billables, collections for services performed were down bigtime. With regard to encounters, PA's inability to perform required us to continue to use manual system at great expense. We had advanced $30,000 to fund this part of the deal, and near the end Ray admitted PA's failure and promised to repay. Of course, we were never repaid, which is why in my earlier post I said they owe a minimum of $30,000.
The saga of broken promises, missed meetings and unreturned phone calls is long and well-documented. Which is why their disappearance (with no forwarding address) was not surprising.
I'll keep board informed as this story progresses. ragingbull.com
