That's funny because Corel doesn't have a Linux "version", although they have spared no expense in maintaining that illusion. That includes worthless write-ups in trade rags from people who couldn't spell Linux the day before being compensated to scribble together some positive thoughts regarding a subject they know nothing about.

There isn't anything wrong with taking, say, Red Hat Linux and calling it, say, Pink Boot Linux then stripping it down to nothing and slapping on your own installer. Needless to say you would need Red Hat's permission in that case.

That's essentially what Corel has done using Debian's Linux distribution. I'm sorry but Corel does not have their own Linux distribution which itself would have been a weak proposition. They have a box that says Corel on it and a CD-ROM stamper. The content is an emaciated version of Debian's Linux. There are children with more complicated Linux efforts insofar as their are children who have their own distributions, while Corel does not.
