Hello Rod, I agree that Corel doesn't have their own Linux distribution. In the last week, I've been snooping on the Corel site and they don't deny that they are using the Debian distribution. In fact, in some of the technical writeups dedicated to open source, I've heard praise for Corel for choosing Debian over Red Hat and Caldera. By choosing an "unknown" they are helping to support the proliferation of open source. The only people seemed to be confused that Corel has their own Linux distribution are the idiot press who can't figure it out. Corel incorporating Debian into a user friendly install and management kit is a good thing. It doesn't necessarily make them a Linux company, but it gives their users a choice of which platform they want to run their office and drawing products on.

That said, I'm still not particularly fond of this merger.
