Elmer, >AMD refuses to publish their errata list. One can only speculate as to why. It would appear they are either too embarrassed or too ashamed. For one thing, AMD doesn't have OEMs, or boxmakers developing workstations and servers around their CPUs like Intel does. Those errata lists allow those customers to build prototypes early in the game (they use workarounds that get around the errata), with the earliest stepping chips, to start getting the bugs out of their other hardware, microcode and software. If your chips are only going into Mr. and Mrs. Joe Sixpack's home PCs, obviously AMD doesn't care to provide errata lists. That's one reason. Maybe we'll see a hint of AMD thinking they'll move up to WSs and servers if and when they start doing errata lists. So far, zilch. Tony
