re:smart cards It might surprise some and make me sound like a curmudgeon, but a company which has been a big player in smart cards for a long time is SLB (Schlumberger). Check it out. I can't say I'm personally interested, because SLB is weighted down with many other irons-in-the-fire and so am I at the moment (hardly watching my stocks or the market). Just trying to contribute to the general educational level on this thread.
