rvwink on Yahoo,
Read your post and thanks for the kind words, however, as I have said in the past, my days of providing valuable insight into the earnings of XICO are over. However, since you asked, my GM assumptions for 2000 are 42%, 45%, 46% and 48%. These are based on an initial jump due to the close down of Milpitas spread over Q1 and Q2 and then a WAG for Q3 and Q4.
Lets face it we are not going to get the info out of the company that the analyst get. These companies talk to analyst and these analyst have access to industry data and access to what is going on in the channels that we don't. Therefore, I think we as small fry individual investors are wasting our time trying to project the earnings. I don't think you would try to second guess the analyst's earnings estimates for ATML, MCHP, MXIM, ALTR, etc. I understand that CIBC's research report is over 25 pages. How can we do better or know more?
We now have two quality firms with fantastic research departments following XICO and I expect more!!
It is now time for us to let the analyst do their job of setting street expectations low, let XICO exceed them each quarter and we just sit back and count our money. |
