Yes, I am using the Toshiba PCX1000 with my RoadRunner. Unfortunately, data speed is only as fast as the slowest link, and I haven't noticed a significant upgrade to the WorldWideWait.

I started using the WWW about late 1993, early 1994 - but I started using Westlaw in 1984, so I've been using telephone lines for data transfer since 1984. I've gotten used to connections taking time, data transfer taking time, I've developed a sort of Zen, but I admit I was hoping that the cable internet would eliminate all that. Nope.

The modem works fine. Configuration was a breeze. A truly excellent improvement on my horrible experience with trying to configure a Motorola ISDN modem in 1996. That one seemed to require a degree in telecom engineering. I flunked.
