<<Humor is about all we have...>>
How right you are Stitch. What a day. I just now got through reading Calif voter info guide. "Good grief Charlie Brown", is all one can say to this mind numbing exercise. How is it that educated people (largely) can address the populace with such really stupid arguments so shamelessly? It is embarrassing. To his credit Shugart was both brief and to the point on his "none of the above" initiative, and the only one who was. Lordy, one gets better debate on the pump and dump Yahoo threads than I see in my official citizens guide to California's great issues. Then earlier in the day we had the Reform Party sitcom.....complete with watching the security guards running for their lives to escape the delegates they were supposed to guard. The only thing missing from the scene was THE BODY striding in, laying waste right and left with a folding chair while a couple of buxom ring girls jiggled about the stage. Hey, this could be syndicated and sell better than the WWF any day.

I just don't know. I actually think McCain has tapped into something real, but I sense just a tinge of zealotry in him that won't fly down the road. But I actually do think the country is ready for better than it has had....now if we could just get one to volunteer......:o)

And while I got you on the line....
The name of the game this last year has been the rate of increase in density vs the growth rate of GB demand. The result has been a net decline in platters per drive. The independent market looks like its just about centered on 10GB+- platters now....and the speed with which we got there left one time charges littering the streets. Do you have any opinions on when we will actually see a future wave of 15-20GB begin to make itself felt in the market?

Mark's weekly pricing data for the last couple of months kinda confirms some relative stability, at least temporarily. The question is how long it might last, and I see that as more of a supply side issue than a GB demand side. Any place you can point to for insight?

Best Regards......Tom
