By selling Geita and their other Tanzanian holdings for cash, and using those proceeds to buy back their exposed short calls positions and the in money, short dated forward sales. They can make delivery over time from production on the remaining forward sales as they come due. I guess the question is would that be enough? We will have to see what they get for Geita.

If not then we could see Siguri in Guinea sold, then the various smaller Ghanan assets (Ayanfuri, Iduapriem, and Bibiani). The jewel of the company Obuasi would go last, and the Mampon contract with it. Whatever the final solution is ASL comes out smaller and more solvent, or the jewel passes to other hands. Just quitting on Obuasi and by extension Mampon is not an option for ASL or ASL's creditors. So anybody selling BGI because if it's association with ASL is completely missing the key variables.
