From IDC's viewpoint, the ERICY litigation is of primary importance,
although their supporters on the SI thread seem to think otherwise.

The recent hike in their shareprice has been based on a perception that they are a 'baby QCOM', but this IMO is premature.

IDC and QCOM settled their IPR differences for IS-95, when QCOM made
a one off payment of $5million to cross license. QCOM went on to dominate CDMA while IDC continued to languish (until recently).
Whether this cross license agreement extends to WCDMA is open to debate.

So, with royalty streams from 3G systems still several years away, near term royalty income for IDC must come from TDMA systems, hence the importance of this litigation to IDC.

Of course, it is also very important for ERICY and their shareholders.
A decision against ERICY will have obvious consequences.
