Another thing you have to and want to do yourself is, if you sold part of your position, you want to allocate the shares to the most expensive purchase--i.e. if you bought QCOM at various stages on the way up and sold or were called away on part of your position, you mark that sale for the most expensive shares.

Well I saved all my trades in folders, I was at least that organized, by account. But I imagine once I set up QUICKEN this will be so much easier. I get online banking and download my charge card too so that I can make everything electronic. Including my trades--now I have them stored online rather than send me all this paper.
