Mattel may not have thoroughly researched the software
industry before it bought Learning Co., analysts said.

Granted, the above is a gigantic understatement. Almost everyone knew MAT overpaid. In terms of fraud, however, I don't think anyone at MAT is guilty of fraud, only malfeasance (unfortunately for us).

Also, who checked off on that severance package those two Learning Co. guys received when they left? Oy!
