news flash: David Gilmour, former member of rock icon Pink Floyd, is suing Lucent, JDS Uniphase, and SDLI. Gilmour, now in his 50's, claims to have invented wave division multiplexing over a decade and a half ago. Claiming that the graphics for the "Dark Side of the Moon" is taken from his European patent application, which has just recently been found, Gilmour is using an obscure Elizabethian law which he claims, gives him the rights to all the data in the universe. When asked why Lumenon was not on the roster of firms being sued, Gilmour replied, "What are you smokin'? I know what's real."
