Wow- you are back. Hello hello.

That's interesting news about the spanking issue.

It was nice of Janice to drop by wasn't it? She is quite the woman of the world now. She doesn't belong to us anymore. sniff

My son just had his first clarinet lesson this weekend. The older daughter plays the flute (for a while now) and we found the MOST perfect teacher for her (young, not intimidating at all, warm, enthusiastic) and I hoped we could find someone equally good for my son. Anyway, we found the most wonderful grandfather type- he has a grandson about my son's age, and he is so patient, and so nice. People involved in music (at least in teaching music) seem to be some of the most wonderful people on the planet.

Anyway, that's been very exciting for us. and we are now thinking about getting rid of the formal dining room table and getting a grand piano- so I can play again (I took for ages, all the way through college) and then when they are ready I can teach them piano too. we already do music theory together, and I miss having a piano very much. I didn't miss it quite so much though until everyone else got instruments. The littlest will probably be starting flute as well- since she seems to be more advanced musically- probably from all the exposure. And my older daughter's flute teacher is willing to take her on as a student.

So 3d has been fun and exciting these last few days. Tomorrow I supervise the Valentine's party for the oldest,we are doing an old fashioned ice cream social with build your own sundaes- and I just got done baking and decorating 33 little heart shaped cakes. I have two crafts lined up and if you can think of any Valentine's Day games I would VERY much appreciate it- they have to be games that won't be too embarassing for boys and girls in the 5th grade- they WANT to like each other, but they just don't feel they CAN, so they are very touchy about anything that might make them get anywhere near each other.
