Sure seems to me that the strength / success of the OEMs is directly correlated to the success of the chip makers ... just not necessarily in immediate stock price comparisons. If the demand for the OEM product is so great that the main thing holding sales back is a shortage of chip components, I would say that bodes very well for the OEM business ... and ultimately for their stock prices. So either the chip stock prices have erroneously run up on a short term basis due to a missed estimation of demand, or the OEMs have some great times ahead.
