SF, we share some, from both your lists. I have done the same, waited to long on losers, and sold winners too soon.
But like you, I have now built up enough cash reserves, that I can do a few more things.
- take bigger bites out of some
- hold onto some a little longer, I fight the boredom, and impatience as does Katie.
One of my worst, not in $$ but in timing, was CNRC, the second time I was in it. I got out with a small profit, simply because I was bored with it, but I sold almost exactly 10 minutes, BEFORE the news that sent it up. That hurt - a day, a week, two weeks, a month I can understand, but sheesh, I couldn't wait, the ten minutes it took me to drive to the office... |
