FROM THE LONDON TIMES
Check it out folks, Sean Hargrave is a writer of his word! Didn't really believe him when he said he was planning on writing an article about virtuallydating but true to his word, voila! This guy has covered the likes of Princess Di(may she rest in peace), Faith Hill, George Harrison.....and now virtuallydating.com This website is getting global attention and as the company, Online Innovation, adds more ingredients to the mix the site is going to only get better and addictive for that matter. It is only going to get better from here folks!!!

If you were not indundated with cards from secret admirers today and there is a gaping hole in your diary tonight, do not despair. Now you can go online and find a virtual date.
A new site - virtuallydating.com - allows visitors to pick an avatar that they can take on a tour of virtual clubs and bars in search of cyber romance. Each avatar can be programmed to dress and appear as the user desires. Gold teeth, a cowboy outfit, punk hairdo and suntan are among the options.
The avatar also needs to be programmed with your real-life likes and dislikes and what you look for in the perfect date, as well as your preferred alias.
This takes about five minutes, after which visitors are free to click on and enter one of 12 rooms to chat up other avatars. If all goes well, characters can be moved around to get a drink or just to get closer.
To find out more about a character, you click on it and a profile appears with the option of asking if they would like a chat in a private room. In public rooms, conversations are held by typing in a dialogue box, similar to conventional chatrooms.
Purely in the interests of research, Interface registered to enter the site, donned a cowboy outfit and cheeky grin and dived into the virtual bar.
Bingo! Straight away an accounts worker from Vancouver, Canada, was torn away from a nearby meat-packer and we were on our way to a club. A few Martinis and a late-night coffee were followed by a quick trip to the "back alley", then we were on our way to the site's "cheap motel", complete with Jacuzzi and mirrored ceiling.
It is all good fun but the site has only just launched and suffers from a lack of European members. As word spreads, and more people outside America and Canada sign up, this should no longer be a problem.
The site is free, though you do have to register and there are plans to introduce charges, but new visitors will still get a month's free trial.
