TTTech and ARM Collaborate on TTP for Advanced Automotive Electronics
VIENNA, Austria and CAMBRIDGE, U.K.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Feb. 14, 2000--TTTech -- Time-Triggered Technology and ARM (LSE:ARM); (Nasdaq: ARMHY) today announced that the two companies will collaborate on TTP(R) and ARM(R) core-based microcontroller platforms for next-generation automotive by-wire applications such as brake- and steer-by-wire.
These highly reliable solutions will allow automotive companies worldwide to provide consumers with advanced electronics features that enable better safety, lower costs, reduced energy consumption, additional comfort and higher performance. TTTech and ARM will demonstrate an ARM7TDMI(TM) core with a TTP/C controller module on TTTech's booth at the SAE 2000 Conference, March 6-9 (Austrian Exhibition, Booth No. 2925).

The protocol variant TTP/C is used in applications where dependable, hard real-time performance is required, including automotive, aerospace, industrial control, robotics and medical electronics systems. Several of the world's leading vehicle manufacturers and suppliers in Europe, the U.S. and Japan, are already in development with TTP-based silicon implementations for "x-by-wire" applications.
